Summer time is approaching and now that I’m living in Redondo Beach, we don’t have air conditioning! Can you believe it?!? I was shocked! I guess within a certain amount of miles from the beach, they just deal with the few hot days here and open up all the windows in the house. Hey, if that means a lower electric bill for me, I’m all for it! I lived in the sweltering heat of Arizona for the majority of my life so I am used to getting blasted with freezing cold A/C anytime I went indoors!
Anyway, wherever you’re living, I’m sure a good ol’ smoothie or cold protein shake is refreshing during the summer months. I’m on a protein shake kick lately and I seriously hit the jackpot with this recipe. I was craving a PB&J sandwich, but couldn’t eat the bread, so that was out! I opted for this and man was it DELISH!!
Ingredients (makes 1 serving):
- 1 Scoop Peanut Butter Protein Powder (I used About Time Peanut Butter flavor..this stuff is seriously amazeballs)
- 1 Cup Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
- 1 Cup Ice
- 4 Frozen Strawberries
- 1 Packet of stevia (or liquid stevia)
- 1 Handful Spinach…yup, ya heard me, spinach 🙂
Throw all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, pour into glass, and sip with straw. Yes, it’s a little on the green side, but get over it! It tastes SO GOOD!
|Throw all ingredients into blender|
